A craving for some Ottawa pizza by a 7-year-old boy fighting anaplastic large cell lymphoma has sparked an idea that is going to benefit many other cancer-fighting children in the capital region.
Ollie, his mom, dad and sister are all in Toronto as he spends time at SickKids hospital.
Earlier this week he told his mom that he could really go for some Gabriel Pizza.
“Ollie is a supremely loyal guy and when he loves something, nothing else will do,” wrote his mom Don on her blog Ollie's “Bump” In The Road, Tuesday.
Vice President of Gabriel Pizza Ray Skaff heard about Ollie's craving for olive and cheese pizza (his favourite) on Sunday and said he knew what he had to do.
“I told you they could deliver here.” That’s the best. Thanks for the faith Ollie. ❤️

“If it put a smile on his face it was well worth it,” said Skaff of the drive. He stopped at their Kingston location to ensure the warmest pizza possible for the family, and included a few partially frozen pizzas for them to keep for later.
Friday, Gabriel Pizza lauched Ollie's Pizza, with part of proceeds of every olive and cheese pizza ordered from Gabriel's going toward Ottawa's Candlelighters, which supports childhood cancer programs.
Who’s hungry to help? Order Ollie’s Pizza in support of @Candlelighters1 an amazing organization that supports families dealing with childhood cancer. Read all about what inspired us to make Ollie’s Pizza here: https://t.co/a8SHT9bKEN pic.twitter.com/RuHsOVbFNn
