OTTAWA – A former equipment manager for the University of Ottawa Gee Gees football team has pleaded guilty to a dozen charges connected to incidents of sexual assault and child luring.

According to Postmedia, Cameron Lyons targeted girls as young as 14 on social media, recruiting them as escorts and models.

Lyons was arrested in October of 2016 and charged with trafficking in persons under 18, child luring and procuring a person to provide sexual services.

The paper says there was a list of victims in court Monday, appearing together in an agreed statement of facts in relation to the incidents.

Lyon will remain in custody and has a sentencing hearing scheduled for June.
