Man okay after water rescue call on the Ottawa River

Ottawa fire crews responded to a water rescue call on the Ottawa River Sunday night, after a passerby reported a surfer under the water.
Around 5 p.m., Ottawa fire said the surfer went under the water at the Remic Rapids.
Ottawa fire, police and paramedics along with Gatineau police and Gatineau fire crews all went to the scene near the Champlain Bridge.
The surfer met first responders on the river's shore, on the Gatineau side.
Police reported the man was in good condition.
