Mural honouring the Vanier neighbourhood being unveiled

50 years of Vanier is being honoured by a mural that's being revealed to the public Wednesday morning.

Ottawa-Vanier MP Mona Fortier, Rideau-Vanier Councillor Mathieu Fleury, and Rideau-Rockcliffe councillor Rawlson King will be on hand for the presentation.

The painting was created by local artist, Claudia Salguero, along with the help of the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa, Don McGahan Clubhouse.

The rich history of Vanier will be honoured in the mural located at the corner of Montreal Road and Granville Street.

The unveiling takes place at 10 a.m.
