Harden was first elected during the 2018 election when he secured 29,675 of the 64,403 votes, which accounts to a little over 47 per cent of the votes.

Harden has held the position as provincial critic for People with Disabilities and Accessibility for four years.

He also sits on the social police committee.

Before becoming an MPP, Harden was a researcher with the Canadian Federation of Students and director of education for the Canadian Labour Congress.
