UPDATE: Ottawa 32-year-old dead after Highway 417 rollover near Richardson Side Road

A 32-year-old Ottawa man is dead after a single-vehicle rollover on Highway 417, near Richardson Side Road.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) has extricated one person from a vehicle, around 9 a.m., Thursday, August 12, and the patient was taken into the care of Ottawa Paramedics to be treated for serious injuries.

An ORNGE Air Ambulance was also deployed to the scene, but Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say Joshua McLaughlin succumbed to his injuries.

The westbound lanes of the highway were closed between Highway 7 and Richardson Side Road, but have since reopened.
