New case of COVID-19 confirmed at Caldwell Street Public School in Carleton Place

An individual at Carleton Place’s Caldwell Street Public School has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to an announcement from the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit on Sunday, the individual was not at the school while infectious, so the case doesn't post a risk to staff or students.
It’s not known if the individual is a student or staff member.
The school remains open and operating on the regularly daily schedule.
Parents, guardians, staff and students have already been notified of the new case.
The health unit and school board do not release specific details about a COVID-19 case in a school directly to the public.
