Ottawa’s COVID-19 daily case numbers are back out of the triple digits and on their way down once again into double digit territory.
According to Ottawa Public Health’s Sunday report, there are 86 new cases — down from the 107 that were reported on Saturday.
This brings the total case count since the pandemic started to 16,107.
Active cases, on the other hand, have slightly climbed to 736 from 729 the day before.
OPH reported three new deaths, bringing the city’s death toll to 454.
So far, 14,917 cases have resolved — that’s 76 more than what was reported on Saturday.
As of Sunday, there are 19 people in hospital with the virus (down from 23 on Saturday), five of which are in the ICU (unchanged).
Four new outbreaks have been declared at childcare centres and schools, bringing the current active number of outbreaks to 11. There are two new community outbreaks, bringing the total to four, and no new outbreaks in healthcare institutions, keeping the total at 24.
Acute care beds remain 96 per cent occupied, ICU beds at 76 per cent occupied and ICU ventilator beds at 33 per cent occupied.
Ottawa’s positivity rate has also remained unchanged at 2.9 per cent.
However, the incidence rate has seen a slight uptick to 49.8 per 100,000 cases, a slight increase from 49.7.

The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has reported 18 new cases, down from Saturday’s 27.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is staying steady by reporting 31 new cases, slightly down from the 32 reported the day before.
And the Renfrew County and District Health Unit isn’t reporting any new cases — down from the four reported yesterday.

(This means Ottawa accounts for about 4.8 per cent of the province's new cases reported on Sunday)
The total case count in the province is now at 328,874.
As well, 18 additional deaths have been reported, bringing the provincial death toll to 7,241.
This is the 15th day Ontario has reported case numbers in the quadruple digits.
Of Sunday’s new cases, 105 are among kids ages nine to 13 with 96 among children ages four to eight and 83 are teens ages 14 to 17.
And since Saturday, 1,353 more cases have resolved, bringing that number to 307,403.
There are 760 patients hospitalized with the virus, 305 of which are in the ICU and 186 on a ventilator.
As of Sunday, 57 more U.K. variants of the virus have been reported — that’s up from the 55 reported on Saturday — as well as one Brazilian variant case.
Five fewer people are in hospital in Ontario, bringing the total to 760.
