No injuries reported as firefighters tackle early afternoon fire

Ottawa firefighters responded to a 9-1-1 call about alarms sounding in a building on Murray Street just before 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 8. 

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) received another call reporting smoke coming from the building's laundry room. The OFS declared the working fire at 1:28 p.m, and quickly knocked down the fire and proceeded to ventilate the building. 

The fire was under control at 1:35 p.m. and no injuries have been reported.
