OC Transpo and Para Transpo will offer a modified Sunday service, free of charge, during Canada Day festivities. The service will apply to the downtown area as well as across the city.
Additional service will become available during the day and after the fireworks.
Only routes that normally run on Sundays will be in service, with the addition of the 91 to Orleans, after the fireworks.
Between Major’s Hill Park, the Canadian Museum of History, and the Supreme Court, buses will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The O-Train Line 2, the Trillium Line, will run throughout the day and all evening until 12:15 a.m. The holiday schedule will stay in effect until 4 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2.
The Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) will also be providing service at no charge on July 1 and free shuttles between Ottawa and Gatineau will also be available.
A complete list of downtown traffic impacts and pedestrian zones in downtown Ottawa, as well as an interactive map can be found on the Canadian Heritage website. Additional information can be found on the City’s Traffic Report and on ottawa.ca.
