One in custody, four taken to hospital after stabbing at downtown Salvation Army

Ottawa police are investigating a stabbing at the Salvation Army Booth Centre.
Police confirm several people were injured after an incident at the shelter, located on George Street in the ByWard Market.
One person is in custody, and say they are not actively searching for other suspects.
Ottawa paramedics confirm four people were taken to the trauma centre after the incident, and police say they are all in stable condition..
A Salvation Army spokesperson confirmed the incident took place around 9:15 p.m., Wednesday.
“Our team is actively assisting Ottawa Police Services with the ongoing response,” said Glenn van Gulik, adding “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.”
