One person arrested and charged following weekend’s protest supporting Dutch farmers

The Ottawa Police Services (OPS) said one person was arrested and is facing charges following a demonstration in support of Dutch farmers on Saturday, July 23.
A slow-roll from Brockville, Kemptville, Renfrew and Arnprior to downtown Ottawa in support of farmers protesting the government's new environmental rules in the Netherlands took place yesterday.
According to the Freedom Fighters Canada website, they invited people to join in a slow-roll in support of farmers protesting the government's new environmental rules in the Netherlands.
Police said as a result of uncooperative and large groups of vehicles attempting to enter the core and refusing to leave, one person was arrested and faces charges of obstruction and mischief.

Ottawa By-law officials issued 103 parking tickets while 12 vehicles were towed since the enforcement a motor vehicle exclusion zone in parts of downtown Ottawa.

No-stopping signs were set up in the area of Bronson Avenue in the west, the Rideau Canal in the east, Wellington Street in the north and Laurier Avenue in the south.
