One person taken to hospital after townhouse fire in Gatineau

Damage is pegged around $225,000 following a fire on Louis Saint Laurent Street Wednesday afternoon.

One person has been injured in a townhouse fire in Gatineau. 

Gatineau firefighters responded to the fire on Louis-Saint-Laurent Street around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27.

The fire had started on the first floor of the townhome and was quickly spreading to the second floor when crews arrived. 

Gatineau fire says quick action by firefighters helped to limit damage to the unit and the fire was under control by 5:25 p.m.

Damage is pegged around $225,000. 

One person was taken to hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
