One person treated for injuries after Britannia fire

A fire at a Britannia-area apartment building on Monday was extinguished quickly by Ottawa firefighters.
Fire crews were called to the high-rise on Pinecrest Road near Carling Avenue around 2:05 p.m. after several callers reported seeing black smoke coming from a unit on the tenth floor.
No one was trapped inside but one person needed to be treated by Ottawa Paramedics.
The fire was under control by 2:39 p.m.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
