The Ottawa BlackJacks have added another player to their roster ahead of the upcoming 2022 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) which is slated to kick off next month.

The team announced on April 26 the signing of forward Jermaine Haley, a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, who has played professionally in Canada and in Germany.

“His versatility on the defensive end is something we see really impacting this league,” BlackJacks general manager and vice president of basketball operations Jevohn Shepherd said in a statement. “He has developed into a consistent three-point threat and a natural facilitator from the wing position.”

Haley marks the tenth player the BlackJacks announced will be joining the team for the upcoming season.

“I am super excited to make my CEBL season debut and I can't wait to help bring a championship to Ottawa,” Haley said in a statement.

The BlackJacks' 20-game regular season is set to kick off on Wednesday, May 25 with a match against Fraser Valley Bandits.
