Ottawa gas prices increasing two cents on Sept. 23

Ottawa drivers are set to see a slight increase at the gas pumps ahead of the weekend.
Roger McKnight, chief petroleum analyst at En-Pro International, tweeted on Sept. 22 that the price of gas at most Ottawa stations will rise two cents on Friday, Sept. 23 to $1.509 a litre.

The Ford government implemented a cut of the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre in Ontario on July 1, and prices dropped 11 cents on that day.
Gas prices hit a record $2.159 a litre in Ottawa in June.
