Ottawa Little Theatre bringing modern comedy to the stage

By CityNews Ottawa

The longest-running community theatre in the country is bringing a modern show to the stage for Ottawa citizens to enjoy.

Greg Hancock, director of the upcoming play — 'The Siegel' — told The Sam Laprade Show on Monday, Aug. 15, that the show is a contemporary comedy chosen for its ability to connect with both an established audience and a young audience.

“It cuts straight across all the boundaries,” he said.

The cast is a combination of long-time actors and some that are new to the stage, he said, adding that it's a nice blend of “brand new and fresh” actors combined with people who “really know what they're doing.”

'The Siegel' starts this Wednesday, Aug. 17 and runs until Sept. 3. at the Ottawa Little Theatre.
