Head more south, a special weather statement is in effect for an area including Kingston, Odessa, the Frontenac Islands, Napanee and Picton, where it's expected to be wet and windy.

Freezing rain is forecast during the morning Saturday, with wind gusts up to 90 km/h possible for the afternoon.

Freezing rain and strong winds are also forecast for an area including Barrie, Orillia, Gravenhurst and Huntsville on Saturday, while anyone heading more north could be met with a big dump of snow.

Areas including Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins could see as much as 20 cm of snow by Sunday morning.

A special weather statement has also been issued in Toronto and the GTA with freezing rain, strong winds and potential snow forecast.
