Ottawa Police made multiple arrests following the Panda Game on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The University of Ottawa's Gee-Gees played against Carleton University's Ravens at TD Place, where the Gee-Gees beat the Ravens 37-7.

Police said in a release that crowds started to gather around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Somerset Street area and were allegedly becoming hostile and committing illegal acts, including vandalism and throwing objects at police.

As of 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, the OPS arrested seven people, including for public intoxication and mischief. Over 80 provincial offence notices were issued for open alcohol.

Ottawa By-Law said in a tweet that 20 tickets were handed out, and over 100 parking tickets were issued as well.

Police added that the operational deployment continued into the early hours of Sunday until the area was returned to a 'state of normalcy'.

OPS said they will also provide the names of university students charged with criminal offences to both universities.

The public is also urged to submit additional video or photo footage from the celebrations to the police.
