Hour 1:
Monday. It is the final week of the public inquiry hearings on Ottawa's LRT system. Some of the revelations that came of our Mayor Watson's testimony on the eve of Canada Day have generated more questions than answers.
13:08 – “within the next two, three weeks all eyes are on weather…that is when the corn pollinates and really dictates what kind of yield we're going to have.
Knee-high by July? Rob checks in with Michael Aube from Rutter's Elevators in Chesterville to get a sense of how the growing season is treating our local farmers this year.
20:21 – “Right now it's out of whack, that you see the airlines in their need…to basically look at maximizing revenue or maximizing profitability, to pick up where they lost billions over the last couple years, have basically seized an opportunity to go out there and fill their airplanes with as many passengers as they possibly can.”
Chaos at the airports continues to dominate the new cycle this week, Rob speaks with aviation expert John Gradek from McGill University to get a sense of why airlines haven't been able to fix the issues with over booking and delays.
36:28 – “In Ontario the are solutions. 26,000 nurses from other countries living here ready to work in the front lines, eager to work in the font lines. That needs to be processed fast.”
Dr. Doris Grinspun from the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario joins Rob to discuss ways the Ontario government should be responding to critical staffing shortages in Ontario's health care sector.

11:42 – “That might entice some people who are kind of on the fence into jumping in, but really if you talk to most analysts they're going to say in the long term it doesn't really mean much int terms of giving a boost to Shopify's value on the market”.
Dave Sali is here from the newsroom of the Ottawa Business Journal with a look at the top local business stories to start the week.
21:14 – “Facts and logic and paying attention just doesn't seem to be making a difference in those deeply held, almost anger-based views.”
Our crisis communications expert Barry McLoughlin, who is also a keen watcher of U.S. politics, joins Rob for a big-picture discussion on the future of America as a nation.
34:44 – “I get asked that quite often both of these questions at the same time as an advisor. The more things decline, the more these questions get asked.”
