Security has been increase at CHEO following a bomb threat earlier this week.
In a tweet, hospital CEO Alex Munter says the threat came in on Monday, February 21, and was quickly and efficiently dealt with by the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) and the hospital security.
Munter says the threat was made by phone and was filled with anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim rhetoric.
He adds that people should not minimize or dismiss Canada's white supremacy problem because it's everywhere.
Last night, @CHEO received a bomb threat. It was quickly and efficiently dealt with by @OttawaPolice and our own security team. (Thank you.)
The call was full of anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim rhetoric.
Please don't minimize or dismiss Canada's White Supremacy problem. It's everywhere. https://t.co/ZnPIAQeh19— Alex Munter (@AlexMunter) February 22, 2022
