Snowfall warning issued for Ottawa, areas south of the city

Environment Canada is expecting significant snowfall in Ottawa, as well as in areas like Richmond and Metcalfe, starting late Sunday afternoon.
The snowfall is forecasted to be heavy at times, tapering off early Monday morning, but weather officials expect 15 to 20 cm to fall before then.
Environment Canada explains, this heavy snow is due to a strengthening low pressure system that is tracking northeastward across the lower Great Lakes.
Officials warn drivers to be prepared to adjust with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some areas and visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
