The clocks aren’t supposed to “fall back” until next week, but it appears some Bell customers are waking up to the wrong time to their smartphones on Monday. CityNews received several calls with people saying their phones went back one hour.
HAPPENING: We've been getting calls from Bell customers this morning saying the time on their smartphones went back an hour overnight. The time change isn't until NEXT Sunday. Are you having time change issues on your phone? #CityNews680 @CityNewsTO— Laura Carney (@LauraMCarney) November 1, 2021
Some users took to Twitter about the issue, with one person tweeting, “Hey @Bell_Support just a heads up time doesn’t change until November 7th not now!”
“Good job Bell. The time change is next weekend. [Now] I’m late for work,” another person tweeted. Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Nov. 7, ushering in Standard Time until March 13, 2022.
Bell has since issued a tweet stating that they will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Some clients may have experienced an incorrect time change on their phone this morning. Our teams are investigating the situation in order to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.— Bell Support (@Bell_Support) November 1, 2021
