Summer hours begin at lock stations on the Rideau Canal Waterway

By Canadian Press

Summer hours have begun at all lock stations along the Rideau Canal Waterway.

Parks Canada says the hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, weekends and holidays.

Meanwhile, all vessels will be given free lockage this Sunday (June 24) as a thank-you to boaters for last year's season.

Free lockage will also be available on Canada Day.
