Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival welcoming visitors back

The 2022 Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival is welcoming visitors back live and in person for the first time since 2019.
And this year the festival has a new home, the Mādahòkì Farm, located in Ottawa's west end at 4420 West Hunt Club Road.
Mādahòkì Farm is Canada’s only Indigenous agri-tourism destination and working farm, and is located 15 minutes southwest of downtown Ottawa on West Hunt Club Road between Highway 416 and Moodie Drive.
The event, taking place between June 21 and June 26, celebrates Indigenous culture and features entertainment, activities and food for all ages.
The event is organized by Indigenous Experiences, which presents and creates programming reflecting Indigenous culture.
“We are so excited to welcome people back live and at our new location,” said Trina Mather-Simard, the founder of Indigenous Experiences, on The Sam Laprade Show on Monday, June 20. “We have 164 acres of beautiful land where we can welcome people safely to this event, and there's lots of room for people to spread out and enjoy the activities.”
There will be both live and virtual programming available. This is a free event where registration is required.
