Town of Smiths Falls lifts municipal COVID-19 restrictions

By Alex Black

The Town of Smiths Falls is lifting restrictions for the use of municipal assets, as the provincial lockdown and stay-at-home order has been lifted for the region.

A number of municipally-run facilities are reopening with restrictions, including physical distancing of at least 2 m with those outside your household, and wearing a mask indoors at all times.

The Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre has resumed services by appointment only. Groups can contact 613-283-4124, extension 6103 or 6105, to book space.

The walking track will also be available for public use.

The Smiths Falls Public Library is returning to the regular scheduled hours of Monday to Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Child Development Centre, which was permitted to provide service throughout the lockdown, will continue to provide care for families in the community. You can call 613-284-8425 for registration information.

Further resources for businesses and residents can be found on the Town of Smiths Falls COVID-19 resource page
