Water rescue crews save six people on boat in late night incident near Nepean Sailing Club

Six people are safe after their sailboat lost power in the middle of the Ottawa River.

At about 11:20 p.m. Saturday night, Ottawa’s Fire Services got a call about the stranded boat near the Nepean Sailing Club.

After a search of the area, the boat was found and everyone was brought back to shore.

There are no reported injuries at this time.
