Titans drop series finale against Schaumburg Boomers

The Ottawa Titans led 1-0 entering the bottom of the eighth inning in their Sunday, July 31 matchup against the Schaumburg Boomers. 

However, the Boomers, the defending Frontier League champions, scored three unanswered runs to defeat the Titans by a final score of 3-1 to take the series finale against Ottawa's baseball team. 

In the loss, Ottawa's Jason Dicochea recorded three hits, while teammate Jackie Urbaez extended his on-base streak to 23 consecutive games.

After an off day on Monday, August 1, the Ottawa Titans continue their road trip with the first of three games against the Tri-City ValleyCats at 6:30 p.m. from Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on Tuesday, August 2, Following the series, the Titans return home on Friday, August 5 for a nine-game homestand.

The Titans currently sit second in the Frontier League's East Division, five and a half games back of the Québec Capitales.
