Charges for two after drug bust near Cornwall

Two Cornwall men are facing charges after OPP seized drugs and cash in a traffic stop.
Members of the Community Street Crime Unit and Stormont Dundas and Glengarry OPP stopped on a vehicle on Hwy. 138, northwest of Cornwall around 10:20 a.m. last Tuesday.
Marijuana and methamphetamine pills were discovered in the car, along with an undisclosed amount of Canadian cash.
Danial Cook, 32, was arrested and charged with:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (2 counts)
– Possession of a controlled substance
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
– Fail to comply with conditions of a recognizance (6 counts)
– Resist peace officer
Kyle Freeman, 28, was arrested and charged with:
– Possession of a Controlled Substance for the purpose of Trafficking (2 counts)
– Possession of a controlled substance
– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
Police said Cook was held in custody pending a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
Freeman was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on May 15.
