Cocaine, pellet gun seized in Hawkesbury home

A 49-year-old Hawkesbury man is facing a few drug and weapon-related charges after a bust at a home in Hawkesbury.

Ontario Provincial Police officers turned up cocaine, a pellet gun, cash, a cell phone and other drug-trafficking-related items at a Gladstone Street property on Friday, May 8.

Steve Roy has been charged with:

Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose – Criminal Code (CC) – sec. 88
Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking – CC sec. 145(5.1)
Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) sec. 5(2)

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L'Orignal on September 9. 

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected to be laid.
