Ottawa police said they are aware of a “concerted effort” to flood their 911 and non-emergency police reporting line.
In a tweet on Thursday, February 10, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said the move endangers the lives and is “completely unacceptable.”
“We track calls and will charge anyone deliberately interfering with emergencies,” OPS said.
Ottawa police did not confirm if these concerted efforts were related to Ottawa’s continuing truck protest, which is now on its 13th day.
