OPP make arrests in relation to suspicious death in Pembroke

The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged two more people in connection with the death of a Pembroke resident last month.

On May 27, OPP officers found a deceased male, identified as Justin Walker, 32, at a downtown apartment in Pembroke. 

On June 2, officers arrested and charged Connor “Doc” Murdock,18, with the following charges:

  • Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose 
  • Theft under $5,000 
  • Obstruct peace officer 
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 

And Adonte Skinner, 24, of Ottawa, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Three counts of failure to comply with release order 
  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking

Both will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 3, 2022.

Another individual from Pembroke was earlier charged with obstructing police and is now before the courts.  

The investigation is ongoing.
