Two Brockville men are facing charges after Ottawa police chased a stolen vehicle through the city's south end.
Officers spotted a vehicle, believed to have been stolen from Brockville, around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the Bank Street and Hunt Club area. They tried to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle only sped up and tried to lose the police cruisers.
The stolen vehicle was eventually lost in the area of Fisher Avenue and Baseline Road, but was found near Merivale Road and that's when the Ottawa police's K9 Unit was called in.
A police K9 eventually tracked down the suspected driver and passenger of the stolen vehicle.
Andrew MacIntyre, 33, of Brockville, is facing a charge of:
- Breach of Probation
Joey Lloyd Edgerton, 42, of Brockville, is facing charges of:
- Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle
- Flight while pursued by peace officer
- Possession of property obtained by crime
Edgerton is also facing other offences from unrelated investigations.
Marissa Wooley, 27, of Brockville, was released unconditionally.
MacIntyre and Edgerton will appear in show cause court Wednesday.
