The Ottawa Police Service is thanking the public for its overwhelming response in assisting with the recovery of three keepsake pendants, containing ashes of deceased, after break-ins at a Vanier church and funeral home.

Officers say these items, containing a dearly missed and loved one, were returned to an overwhelmed and grateful family.

Police, however, have not yet been able to locate a missing laptop containing more than 700 musical scores, and are still asking for the public's help.

It is described as:

  • Lenovo B50-45 Notebook (Model #59441916)

The thefts happened back in January of this year.

Anyone with information regarding the missing laptop is asked to please contact the OPS' Central Break and Enter Unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 4533.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), or by downloading the Ottawa Police app.
