Ottawa police searching for jewelry thief after multiple stores robbed

A 45-year-old Ottawa man is wanted by the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) after five different jewelry stores in the city had expensive rings stolen.
The incidents happened between March 19 and October 25. Police say, in each robbery, a lone man posed as a customer and then made off with expensive rings.
OPS investigators have identified John Borrens as the person responsible for these thefts.
Borrens is wanted on charges of:
- Theft over $5,000 (five counts)
- Breach of probation (11 counts)
- Breach recognizance
He is described as:
- Caucasian
- 5' 7'' (170 cm)
- 119 lbs (54 kg)
- Brown hair with grey at the sides
