Police investigating counterfeit toonies found at Hawkesbury store

OPP are warning the public and businesses to keep an eye out for some counterfeit toonies after some were discovered at a Hawkesbury store.

According to Hawkesbury OPP, officers were called to the store on Regent Street at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11 because someone had used the counterfeit toonies to make a purchase.

Police would like everyone to be aware of this and to be vigilant in assuring they do not fall victim to this fraud.
