Police searching for suspect after woman left unconscious in gas station parking lot

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a serious assault on Woodroffe Avenue, and is looking to identify the suspect.
Officials say a 20-year-old woman was assaulted and left unconscious on the ground in a gas station parking lot around 2 a.m. Sunday, a few block north of Strandherd Drive.
She was taken to hospital and later released.
The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s with a medium build and no visible facial hair. He was wearing a light-coloured shirt with collar, or jacket with collar and blue jeans.
He fled on foot, last seen heading into the walking paths leading into the Brockington Crescent area.
