UPDATE: Suspect in Ottawa police custody after fatal Chinatown stabbing

The Ottawa Police Service says it has arrested one man after a stabbing at the intersection of Somerset Street West and Arthur Street, in Chinatown.

Officers were called to the area at 9:41 a.m., Friday, to find a man that had been stabbed.  

Carl Reinboth, 64, was rushed hospital with life-threatening injuries and later pronounced dead.  

Police say a second victim also suffered serious injuries in another stabbing by the same suspect around 11:50 a.m., about three blocks east of the original stabbing on Somerset Street West.

Charges are pending against the suspect as the investigation continues.
