Two people in their 70s treated after vehicle crashed into west-end Appletree Medical Group

By Dani-Elle Dubé

A 78-year-old man and 72-year-old female were treated for minor injuries after a vehicle crashed into an Appletree Medical Group in the city's west end.

Police were called to the scene at Greenbank Road and Baseline Road at about 7:45 a.m. Thursday after getting calls of a vehicle striking the building.

The man and woman were assessed on scene by paramedics and treated for minor injuries — mostly cuts and bruises, paramedics say.

They were, however, still transported to hospital for further assessment.

The clinic itself was closed so there were no staff or people in the building.

Police are still on scene and continue to investigate.
