FOUND: Canine unit helping OPP search for missing 22-year-old in Pembroke

UPDATE: The OPP says Stefan Yonkeu has been found and is safe.

The Ontario Provincial Police is calling in its canine unit, as officers search for a missing 22-year-old man in Pembroke.

Stefan Yonkeu was last seen on foot after leaving a home on Cecil Street in Pembroke around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 1. 

His intended destination is unknown at this time. 

Police are concerned for his well being.

Yonkeu is non-verbal and will not likely approach anyone or speak if approached. 

He is described as:

  • Black
  • 5' 6″
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a black jacket with red lining, black sweat pants, a green long sleeved shirt and black shoes
