      Montreal director throws light on self-harm through short film 'Scars'

      “I thought it was a very important topic to talk about and bring to light and hopefully break the silence around self harming,” says Alex Anna, the director of short film “Scars.” The film depicts her own struggles with self-harm. “Scars” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival September 15.
