New poll shows gap widening between Watson, O’Brien

Another poll suggests Jim Watson is a shoo-in for the mayor’s office.

A new Leger marketing poll shows Watson has the support of 43 per cent of decided voters compared to Larry O’Brien’s 15 per cent.

O’Brien actually has Clive Doucet nipping at his heels with 12 per cent support.

On Sept. 8, Watson was the choice of 31 per cent of voters compared to O’Brien’s 22.

Pollster Rick Hobbs tells the Sun with less than a week left in the election, there’s simply no momentum for the incumbent mayor.

The survey of 601 adults was conducted between Oct. 13 and 17.
