Temperatures heading to scary lows for Halloween

Try to sell the kids on the “Arctic explorer” costume this Halloween weekend.
1310 meteorologist Jill Taylor says temperatures on Sunday evening will require some bundling up.
“Be prepared,” she said. “It’s going to be cool for Halloween, the high on Sunday only four degrees. By trick-or-treat or time, we could be close to the freezing mark, with a bit of a wind out of the northeast which will make things feel cooler too.”
Last year, temperatures were around a comparatively balmy nine degrees on Oct. 31.
Try to incorporate a coat, warm footwear and gloves or mittens into your child’s costume and don’t stay out long.
And if you run into any kind of trouble on Sunday, look for a red Rogers van. The Pumpkin Patrol will be on the streets for a 26th year, helping Ottawa Police keep trick or treaters safe.
