21-year old charged with second degree murder

An altercation occurred at a house on Ste. Helene street after the ex-girlfriend of the suspect arrived with a number of friends.

Constable Isabelle Poirier tells 1310 News the victim was stabbed several times in the chest, and afterward “the victim and his friends ran away (to) a hospital in Ottawa.”

The victim, also a 21 year old man, died before he could get to a doctor.

Police have not released any more details in the case.
