Rideau Canal opens for skating Saturday

Good news for skaters….a 2.4 kilometre section of the Rideau Canal will be open for skating tomorrow. The stretch from the Bank Street bridge to the Pretoria bridge will be open at 8 am to the public. An official opening ceremony for the 41st season of skating on the world’s largest skating rink will be held Saturday at 11:30 am at Fifth Avenue.
