School board sees falling costs

It’s not often that a school board can talk about falling costs, but the Ottawa public school board has some good news in that department.
During the 2009-2010 school yearcosts due to vandalism, theft, and other major damage at the board’s buildings added up to just half that of the previous year. The losses still totalled $763, 488, with the majority of that number coming from flooding damage to five elementary schools. This is the lowest cost total since 2006-07.
