Paramedics busy on Bronson

Two incidents just three minutes apart kept Ottawa paramedics busy on Bronson Avenue Monday morning. The first call came in just before 9:30am after a 27-year-old woman was struck by a minivan on Bronson at Somerset. She is in stable condition in hospital with head and hip injuries. Then, a 24-year-old Carleton student was struck by a car that lost control after colliding with another vehicle. This happened on Bronson at Brewer Street in front of the university. The student was thrown three metres. He is in serious but stable condition in hospital with head, facial and leg injuries. A 49-year-old woman who was driving one of the vehicles involved in the actual collision is also in hospital, listed in stable condition for head and hip injuries. Ottawa police continue to investigate both incidents.
