Orleans fire causes $50,000 in damage

A fire broke out Tuesday at a hotel in the Orleans area that was under construction.
Twenty four fire fighters responded to the scene at 3063 Saint Joseph blvd at about 5:15 p.m and quickly had the blaze under control by 5:30 p.m
The fire started in the electrical room of the main floor. No injuries were reported, but the entire four story structure sustained minor smoke damage which was pegged at 50 thousand dollars.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
