New numbers show deficit shrinking

Just weeks before the spring budget is tabled the government has gotten some rosy numbers from the finance department.
New projections showed our federal deficit may end up being 10-billion dollars less than it was last year.
Thanks to growing revenues, the deficit for april to november of 2010 was 26-billion dollars. Compared to 36.3 billion from the year before.
Along with the deficit shrinking the government has been able to shave off over 2-billion dollars from the federal debt.
