Man hit by car at bus stop

Ottawa paramedics rushed to Maitland Avenue at Garfield Street during rush hour Thursday morning after a 45-year old man was struck by an out of control vehicle. The man was waiting for a bus at the time.
He was treated for head and facial injuries along with shoulder and knee injuries. Paramedics estimate he may have been thrown seven metres.
He is now in serious but stable condition in hospital.
